Inflation Calculator

Privacy policy

No accounts, no ads, and your calculations stay in your browser.

The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms. We collect nothing from you directly, and the amounts you type into a calculator are never sent anywhere — the arithmetic happens in your browser, against a data file your browser downloads. We never see them.

What is stored on your device

One thing: your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong palette on your next visit. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Third parties

  • Google Analytics — measures which pages are read and which links are used. It sets cookies and records an approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser, and the pages you visit. It is subject to Google's privacy policy. Blocking it does not affect the site: every calculator works with analytics blocked.
  • jsDelivr — the charting library is fetched from this CDN, but only once you run a calculation. Loading a file from a CDN discloses your IP address to it.
  • Apple — the App Store badge image is served from Apple's own endpoint, as Apple's brand terms require, so your browser requests it from Apple on pages that show it.
  • Netlify — hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.

If you follow a link to the App Store or Google Play, that link carries a campaign tag telling Apple or Google that the visit came from this site and which kind of page it came from. It does not identify you.

What we do not do

No advertising, no advertising networks, no retargeting pixels, no selling or sharing of data, no email list, no profiling. There is nothing to unsubscribe from.

Children

The site is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone of any age.

Your choices

Browser settings, a tracking blocker or Google's own opt-out add-on all stop the analytics described above. Because we hold no account and no identifier of our own, there is no record here to request, correct or delete.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page and the date below changes with it.
